A smart application that creates an intuitive travel experience for its users

The project aims to develop a comprehensive travel companion application that not only assists users in choosing their trips but also incorporates intuitive safety features and gamification elements to enhance user engagement and motivation. Existing apps often lack the ability to provide tailored recommendations based on individual preferences and fail to incentivize and engage users throughout their travel journey. Additionally, emergency assistance features are often overlooked, leaving travelers vulnerable in unforeseen circumstances.

Design Process

Key Interview Insights:

Lack of Personalization: Current travel apps fail to offer personalized recommendations tailored to individual preferences, interests, and budget constraints, resulting in generic travel plans that may not resonate with users.

Limited Engagement: Many travel apps lack engaging features to motivate users beyond the initial trip planning phase, leading to low user retention and minimal interaction beyond basic functionalities.

Absence of Safety Measures: Emergency assistance features are often neglected, leaving travelers without immediate access to help during unforeseen incidents or emergencies.

Disconnected Social Experience: While social sharing is common among travel apps, the integration often feels disjointed and lacks meaningful engagement opportunities for users to connect, share experiences, and seek recommendations from their social circles.
